there are five principles that you have to know and respect when dealing with the people's republic...
1. mutual respect for each other's territorial integrity and national sovereignty.
2. mutual non-aggression.
3. mutual non-intereference in each other's internal affairs.
4. equality and mutual benefit.
5. peaceful co-existence.
interesting, isn't it?

hop hop hop...
it was when i took into the skies above jakarta, jogjakarta and surabaya cities, far above the clouds that shade java island, i observed with maximum curiosity the life of the millions souls dwelling down there. farmers come to take care of their crops; fishermen spreading their nets; and everybody else that seems to be so bussy.
i was bussy too. chewing kit kat. reading laskar pelangi. and piercing my eyes to express how sour the the apple juice was.
to revisit the eastern parts of java was a good moment of escape. in jogja i was tasked to be a master of ceremony, an mc, of a seminar. and in surabaya, it was rather plentier of time for reading.
o yes, i found this novel laskar pelangi very interesting. i cant help but keep reading it from page to page a hundred and forty in a row. wohow...

sonnet no. 18
shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
thou art more lovely and more temperate:
rough winds do shake the darling buds of may,
and summer's lease hath all too short a date:
sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
and often is his gold complexion dimm'd;
and every fair from fair sometime declines,
by chance or nature's changing course untrimm'd
but thy eternal summer shall not fade
nor lose possession of that fair thou owest;
nor shall Death brag thou wander'st in his shade,
when in eternal lines to time thou growest:
so long as men can breathe or eyes can see,
so long lives this and this gives life to thee...

rough winds do shake the darling buds of may,
and summer's lease hath all too short a date:
sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
and often is his gold complexion dimm'd;

but thy eternal summer shall not fade

the empty chairs
don, that song that you wrote, describing empty chairs and the emotions attached to it, i think, is so accurate.
"you wonder if she knew that you never understood, that although she said she'd go, until she did, you never thought she would..."
good night, don. let the starry nights decorate your evening, just they way you picture them in your song vincent... which you dedicated for van gogh.

may the silence break
because you do not speak
i know the shock
of water encountering a rock.
supremacy of silence is what i dislike.
only gods and graves deserve a right to that
or one who knows what this is all about.
perhaps you do.
if so, please let something breaks through
the walls of silence surrounding you.
out here among words
your silence is the magnet i am drawn towards.
men’s mouths, animals’ eyes and the throats of birds
fear this impenetrable thing.
so do i, all day long
and when the night drops like a confirmation
of what you are,
controller of every star,
possessor
of what the daylight struggled to reveal.
this possession kills
whatever it wills.
nothing i say matters tonight.
nor should it.
this silence is right
because it knows it is.
i shiver in the cocksure ice
and long for the warmth of bewildered eyes.
may the silence break
and melt into words that speak
of pain and heartache
and the hurt that is hard to bear
in the world out here
where love continues to fight with fear
and the war on silence will end in defeat
for every heart permitted to beat
in the air that hearts make sweet.
i know the shock
of water encountering a rock.

sweet and colorful
every morning i pass a fruit stall on my way to work, which is located near from where i reside. so it is almost my daily routine to see this kind of colorful spot and i love to stop to buy bananas for a 'snack'. look at the colors. delicious, fresh and healthy. pick one as your favorite dessert. or more if you really like... hmm...

read my mind
in the name of april mop, i was fooled to believe that the neighbor's house was in fire, and the sky was red as if a mighty dragon was flying in the dark night and roaming above the neighborhood...
you'd better watch out, niki. hohoho...
